Run, because every steps is a celebration of your life!
The most important thing in any game
is not to win but to take part
Similarly, the most important thing in life
is not the triumph but the struggle.
The essential thing is not to have conquered
but to have fought well

An UnFoRgEtTaBlE DaY fOr Me
Today is the most challenging day for myself as it is the start on the Army Half Marathon and is my first time participating in it. At first i was bit chicken out and i want to back out for this marathon because i have not being running for two weeks already. I would like to thanks Ronghua and MO Qi aka Yiling for encouraging me not to give up cos if i give up like that i would regret.
When i arrived at the competition ground, i feel so demoralized looking at those army guy - they are so well built and seem to be very fit however after being registered and deposited of my personal belonging, i went to the starting point as the race is about to start. I merely only did some stretching.
I was standing in the middle of the crowd and when they race started, everyone start dashing however i did not. I remembered what mr coach told me dont start off too fast if not i would die out half way. I followed his advice and i managed to complete the maratho (21.5km) in 1hour 57minutes. I am so happy i managed to reach my target which is 2hours. :) Now, i proven something... Is not the shape that matter is the quality that matters.... :)
Thanks god that i am not the last.... And if i am not wrong i am in the first half... Me waiting for the personalise cert to be mail to me...
Through this marathon, i discovered that my limit is not 18km is 20km and the last 1.5km is really a killer ~ my mind can take it but just my leg can not ... Then after i can feel to pain in my knee cap and the joint...
I like the medal alot but then too bad i need to give it to vincent as i promised him after the day i register for it. I told him that i would give him the medal but then now a bit ... Sigh...
I would definitely take part again next year i will BREAK and SET a better timing than this year.
WhAt A TiRiNg DaY aNd a DaY fOr My JoInT tO AcHe... :(
