Today morning as per normal having the 2 hours healthy lifestyle day… Initially scheduled a was run however due to some mis-communication breakdown with the commanders I think!

Therefore NO RUN!

My SIR bring us to the soccer court and all had a game of soccer – syndicate vs syndicate… I didn’t participate because I just came back from Att C today consider as Att B day 1 ~ Light duties…

Oh My God... MY SCM coming yet i haven't been training... STUPID DINO!!!! Well, now on process from recovering from my tonsils inflam can't train and after which will go for operation can't train....

Spoken with Yanni just now that i will use the run walk method for my 42km if worst come to the worst ~ as my limit currently is only 25km max. What to do! Oh ya, she would be running the half marathon for SCM... Good luck gal!

Any one got any kind advices?

Tonsils and Tonsillectomy

When for my medical appointment with the specialist...

However i am so so unlucky that i got my tonsils since sunday and hard a SUPER HARD time fighting again it on monday when i was in camp. Whole body and super hot, muscle aching here and there...

Initially today's purpose is to go for operation but the specialist never! Because i am still having inflam and lead to high white blood cell; it's very dangerous to operate. He mentioned that if my blood don't stop flowing after the operation then DIE... Very RISKY!!

2 weeks again later go back see him again and if not inflam can go for operation and if inflam then ....

Did my own homework on the internet..

What are tonsils?
Tonsils are the two pink lumps of tissue found on each side of the back of your throat. (Open your mouth wide and say ‘ahhhh’ in front of a mirror to see them.) Each grape-size lump fights off the bad bacteria or germs living in your body.

Symptoms:

Bright red tonsils
White or yellow goo covering your tonsils
A sore throat
Pain when you swallow
Pain or swelling in your neck
A hot forehead
Stinky breath even after you’ve brushed your teeth

Operation - Tonsillectomy

After dinner the night before your tonsillectomy, you won’t be allowed to eat or drink anything -- even water!

When you arrive at the hospital, you’ll put on a special bracelet with your name on it and hospital clothes. Then you will meet the doctors and nurses that will be helping you. When the doctor is ready, you’ll be given a special medicine that makes you fall asleep. Then, the doctor and nurses will use special tools to remove your tonsils. It doesn’t take very long – just about 20 minutes!When you wake up, you will be with your Mom or Dad and the operation will be all over. Your throat will hurt but the nurses and doctors will keep an eye on you to make sure you’re okay. In a few hours you will be ready to go home. Your throat will be sore for a few weeks, but your tonsils won’t bother you ever again! (This is the part that i am looking forward to)

Hotel Miramar ~ 2nd Sister's wedding

Yesterday was a big day for my family especially my mum and my 2nd sister... It's her wedding...

Wake up at 6am; ahead for a 8km run and after get changed; waiting for my brother-in-law to call me down go open the car door...

Finally the time comes... got a red packet from e opening of the door and upon entering my house door .. My sister's friends round now ~ eat green pepper with bread + drinking XO mixed with chilli, dark sauce + salt + wearing disposable underwear (my brother-in-law's friends) and he had to write with marker infront of the underwear - "I Love U 4 Ever"

After picking up her to his house for the ceremony, his friend fetch me to his house - cos i need to eat the "sweet noodle" ... This is the teochew culture... Everyone at his house ~ looking at me eating it ...

Honestly, it is not as bad as what my sister describe... not so sweet... finished up the whole thing.. Got 4 red Ang Bao from then...

After we reached home, the ceremony at my house begin...

Ceremony - Tea drinking ... I got a ang bao too...

Headed to the hotel where the wedding dinner was conducted.. The hairstylelist that my sis employed kind enough to use spray my hair to make it look cool..

Here it goes:

At the entrance of the resturant, i waited for all my mum and sister's friends as i need to ursh them to their seat... Very tiring.. walking around ...

Wei Xiong, Felicia, Jacob and Hon Wei attended my sister's wedding... I invite them... They are sitting at table 9... i keep running toward their table and talk / drink with them.. haha.. Drink a lot of red wine... till Hon Wei and Wei Xiong a bit drunk... haha

After the dinner ended, the four of us when to indochim for drink again... haha.... Lobocop drank the most... 2 beers... others - cocktails...

After the drinking, we headed to cathy to catch show... The show was selected by lobocop ... Guess what i fall alseep for the 3 hours... There's something i can say... The show is not my cup of tea man... never mind as long as they must enjoy cos i am the one asking them out...

3 Weeks has past

I am back blogging... It has been quiet some times since i last blog... Well... These few days making me super exhausted especially each time my camp commander keep giving us very last minute notice about staying back late to attend functions that usually last till 7:30 to 8:00pm...

And each time during the makan period of the function i can only stare blankly at the foods but can't eat as i having training (running) after i reach home... Each time had my run after that either alone or with SAFRA running club...

However i like those functions - it helps me to build up better bonding / trust with my fellow course mates... But i just simply hate it ~ Telling us at the 11 hours abt the event...

I had spent at total of $34 this week just to take a cab down from my house / jurong to sembawang camp for 2 days ~ wake up late ...

What actually been doing these few days:
- Lectures + Practical + Theory
- Discussion of syndicate dedicated assignments
- Watching movie from laptop
- Taking photos ~ Ppl sleeping or something funny

Calculating your daily enery needs

1. Use the following euqation to calculate your resting requirements (also known as metabolic rate)

Guys: 65 + (5 * height in metres) + (13.8 * weight in kg) - (6.8 X ages in years)

Gals: 65 + (1.8 * height in metres) + (9.6 * weight in kg) - (4.7 X ages in years)

2. Multiply this calcuated number by the activity factor relating to your approximate physcial activity level:

Very light - Sedentary , Driving -> Factor: 1.3
Light - House cleaning, Golf (buggy) -> Factor 1.3 - 1.5
Moderate - Brisk Walking, Light Jogging -> Factor 1.6 - 1.7
Heavy - Football, Tennis, Running -> Factor 1.9 - 2.1
Very Heavy - Race of the day -> Factor 2.2 - 2.4

3. The final figure is your daily energy needs in calories (kcal)

13th October 2006

Today wat i did for the entire day....

Morning took a cab to camp - $18 becasue i woke up late and then have a pretty interesting morning exercise... Total we did a 3.06km run and then went to the multi-purpose sports hall for 1 'dogde' ball game with the other vocation people... haha...

Saw as few naval guy there practicing for their volleyball... making me so tempted...

Oh ya... whole day doing nothing except stoning and sleeping and crapping in classroom...

During lunch, heard that all have to stay back till 8 today because of last batch of the supply supervisor having their cohension night... what the F#$K! tell us last minute and all have to cancelled our program...

However, it turn out to be very fun there at the mess... played 007 game and i kenna alot of forfeits... haha... and drink tiger beer... me drank 1 can...

I leave the camp at 7:15pm and reach home at 8:25pm .. Headed for a 10km run...

Now at home preparing for my proposal for camp ~ sports day ....

What a day - In camp & Running Training

Today as per normal that i was being released late from camp... Is expected that every monday we would be released at 6pm...

All along lectures today as per normal like last week...

Today changed of permanet group... I was been separated from my previous team - Jacob, Hon Wei, Jasper and John .... No more jokes and all stuffs...

However, Jacob, Hon Wei and John still in the same team - Sync 4 me Sync 2...

My group in-charge of the following activities for my course ...

- Sports Day
- Cohension Day
- Updating of noticeboard (constantly)

Learnt signal set - parts and assemble; got test .... Studies till so hard then suddenly when reaching my turn; they call it a day... Damn it... Scare that what i had learnt will forget by tomorrow... Sigh...

Tomorrow morning i don't need to go back to camp as i got specialist appointment at TTSH... Will only go back to camp after my appointment...

Did a run with Wei Xiong just now... As per normal frm my house run to his house and make one detour back to my house and then eat at ABC market there...

Today's running distance: 4.45km for me .... And what most strange is my heartrate - my max heartrate - 101%.... woo... that's high... think i really go beyond my limit.... Good training... haha... Can improved lactic threshold...

As initiated by him that on odd days we will go run and that mean that mon, wed and fri i will run with him and tue and thurs would be my SAFRA Running Club Training... All daysd packed with training....

Gosh... got to really prepare for my coming Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon already... i participating in the full (42.195km) but they max i train so far is all 10km and only once 15km ...

Die die.... Just that no motivation to run along for LONG RUN... Any advice?

Got to BUCK UP for my training....

Summary of 1st week course + Steamboat

Summary - For the past 4 days ~ daily routine ... Go camp and attend lessons + doing the march + fall in... Well... the system there is very familiar to RP's PBL... 5 / 6 together as a group and try to solve the problem and present it out.. My group consist of 3 units and 3 fresh from BMTC...

I like my group alot especially all the crapping, sharing of information and brainstorming .... Thanks to Jacob ~ the old bird in my group... Super knowlegdable... Wondering if i can have 50% of his knowlegde that would be GREAT!

My group is well-known for sweets eating and presentation ~ short, sweet and nicer handwriting... hehe... cos all i write one ba... haha...

Thanks guys...

But something that i don't like there is the SGT (XXX) ... He's so demanding and unreasonable ... DAMN IT! opp... no choice got to bear with it...

Finally is a friday... Went Wei Xiong's house together with Felicia to eat steamboat ~ to celebrate for mooncake day... haha... .Pretty enjoyable...

Supply Supervisor Course - Day 1

Today the course of supply supervisor finally start... Well... Honestly today whole day - 8am to 4:30pm all lectures ...

Frankly speaking - i only understand 10% of all lectures.... Super chim!!! My class is mixed with 16 (fresh BMT) + 19 from Units .... Based on this ~ don't need to say of course the unit one know more than us and their knowledge better than us too...

Chim... Have to struggle for 16 weeks...

Singapore-Johor 2nd Link Bridge Run 2006

Here's the details on the Singapore-Johor 2nd Link Bridge Run 2006

Date: Sunday, 12 November 2006 Venue: Tuas West Road Race start time: Competitive 10km – 8.00am

Singapore is hosting this year’s 2nd Link Bridge Run, which is in its seventh year since Johor State Government first played host to the event in year 2000. Singapore-Johor 2nd Link Bridge Run 2006 aims to foster bilateral relations and promote tourism between Singapore and Malaysia through sports.

The event is jointly organized by the Singapore Sports Council and Singapore Athletic Association in Co-operation with Johor State Government, Johor Tourism Action Council and Malaysia Highway Authority.

Participants Entitlements
Finisher medals will be awarded to the top 50 runners in each competitive category (Don't know whether i can make it anot) on the race day. The race certificate with timing will be sent by mail. Certificates of participation will also be given to both competitive and non-competitive runners in the event goodie pack. All participants will be given an event t-shirt together with some of the promotional items from sponsors in the event goodie pack and will also stand to win prizes in the lucky draw.

~ I did once i 2001 when i was in sec 4 for the 9km run and yes i did it ... ~ But now...
